The chain of Lagorai south, the Natural Park Monte Corno in the west, north and Latemar Paneveggio, draws the borders of the Val di Fiemme. Located in the centre of the valley, the Ski Centre Latemar, named for the dolomitic mountain, includes the towns of Pampeago, Predazzo and Obereggen, all connected skis.
This side of the Val di Fiemme has 18 modern facilities connecting 50 km of ski runs served by a modern artificial snow system. The ski area has 18 modern lifts which can transport over 35,000 passengers per hour. The slopes are able to satisfy everyone from the most ambitious and daring to the less experienced.
The other ski area of Val di Fiemme are L 'Alpe CermisBellamonte - Alpe Lusia, Passo Rolle, Lavazè - Oclini.

Unesco: the Dolomites become Universal Heritage of Humanity

The World Heritage Committee has officially entered the Dolomites in the list of Universal Heritage of Humanity UNESCO. A decision on the nomination submitted by the Italian government was taken unanimously by the 21 members of the UNESCO committee, meeting in Seville.

Sellaronda Skimarathon, the famous international touring ski competition, has come to his 14th edition. It's a touring ski competition by night for extreme skiers, also valid for the "Coppa delle Dolomiti". The competition is open to 2-people teams. Each team must be equipped with: two pairs of touring skis and a front light.
