One month after the withdrawal of its application to the Alpine World Ski Championships in 2017, Cortina tries again and is a candidate to organize the World Alpine Ski Championships 2019. The decision came last week, attended by the mayor Andrea Franceschi, president of FIS Flavio Roda, president of the permanent association of the World Cup and President Enrico Valle Ski Club Cortina Igor Ghedina. For Cortina will be the fourth attempt, after those of 2013, 2015 and 2017. The 2019 World Cup will be awarded in 2014 in Barcelona.
