Sella Nevea is a ski resort on the border with Slovenia in the municipality of Chiusaforte, located at 1200 meters altitude, at the foot of the splendid granite massif of Canin and directly under the Conca Prevala. The ski resort is famous for its excellent snow with a ski season that starts in November and lasts until May, but which has an echo even in summer thanks to a snow-fields of the lowest in Europe, in the valley of Sella Prevala. From December 2011 the SkiArea is connect via a cable equipped with modern cabins with 100 seats with the Slovenian resort of Bovec . The new Ski Area offers 28 km of slopes for alpine skiing. And it is the first integrated ski area between Italy and Slovenia joined the territories that was theater of strong conflicts during the First World War.

Two cabins of the gondola that takes skiers from Bovec towards Sella Prevala and that makes it possible to connect with Sella Nevea, fell tumbling to the ground after that, probably because of the wind, the ropes have rolled off the pulleys that supported the cabins . Fortunately, the cabins were empty and there were no casualties.

The circuit will be completed in early 2012 in Sella Nevea April 29 with Adrenaline Freeride Canin because of the few snowfalls this season. The finalists are allowed athletes who achieved at least a useful result in the qualifying stages and the riders that the organizers have given wild cards available, for a total of 45 competitors. Alpine skiing, night mountainering and snowshoes: Lussarissimo in Tarvisio
The eighth edition of Lussarissimo, will be on stage Friday 22 and Saturday 23 March in Tarvisio.
