Roccaraso is the door to the plateau of the Five Mile for those coming from Campania and Molise, and is situated at 1236 m. altitude, between the National Park of Abruzzo and the Parco della Majella.
The ski Alto Sangro is the largest ski resort in central Italy and includes the towns of Roccaraso, Rivisondoli, Pescocostanzo and Barrea, for a total of 130 km of slopes.
The area that is most interesting is Aremogna-Pizzalto, ranging from 1,500 meters to 2,140 meters starting at the plateau of the patch of the Treasury.
The ski area roccarasto is equipped with a gondola with automatic coupling, 8 chair lifts and 12 ski lifts serving 60 km of slopes of varying difficulty, connected via skis with another 48 km of trails from the ski station in the nearby Mount Rivisondoli lawn. With the same ski pass you can also ski in Pescocostanzo and Pescasseroli.
It boasts outstanding facilities and ski sports in general, with modern efficient facilities and runs to suit even the most demanding skiers.
Sports facilities offer tourists several alternatives: skating, swimming, bowling and tennis. In summer the resort offers the possibility of excursions in the National Parks and the Alto Sangro.
