Roccaraso is the door to the plateau of the Five Mile for those coming from Campania and Molise, and is situated at 1236 m. altitude, between the National Park of Abruzzo and the Parco della Majella.
The ski Alto Sangro is the largest ski resort in central Italy and includes the towns of Roccaraso,Rivisondoli,Pescocostanzo and Barrea, for a total of 130 km of slopes. The area that is most interesting is Aremogna-Pizzalto, ranging from 1,500 meters to 2,140 meters starting at the plateau of the patch of the Treasury. Getting ready for the start of the junior World Cup skiing, scheduled in Roccaraso from 1 to 9 March 2012. Will be 60 nations at the start, with athletes aged between 15 and 20 years.
