Located a few kilometers from Pinerolo, Val Germanasca in the heart of the Hautes Alpes, Prali lies in a basin, through which the river of Envie flows, and at the foot of the peaks of the Hautes Alpes, divided by the French Regional Park of Queyras.
Its ski area offers 7 lifts and 25 km of ski slopes, two paths for cross-country skiing, many opportunities for off-piste skiing, the opportunity to enjoy dog sledding, excursions on foot or with snowshoeing, figure skating and ice-climbing.

Its best track, the "Giant", is home to some of the national teams training for alpine skiing.
For lovers of cross-country, the ski area has two circuits, one of 7 km, beginning at Prali Villa and the other of 8 km, which starts from the left side of the valley.

On 19 April 2009 will be disputed, the 17th edition of the Trofeo Mezzalama, beginning at Breuil Cervinia, through the Val d'Ayas and ends in Gressoney Valley. A marathon with classic equipment, whether international, starting in line open to teams of three athletes / and roped. A challenge along a difficult path that winds especially over three thousand meters, passing in two even four thousand. The pre-enrollment for the year 2009 came to 397 teams, compared with 260 two years ago to 115, 2005. Each team has three athletes. A contract is regulated by FISI (Italian Federation of Winter Sports) and the 'ISMF (International Ski Mountaineering Federation).
