Situata a 1167 metri sul livello del mare, Pescasseroli è il cuore del Parco Nazionale d’Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise, di cui è anche sede amministrativa centrale. Da decenni è una stazione invernale strutturata, non di grandi dimensioni ma sempre più qualificata, tanto da aspirare al traguardo delle mete sciistiche più frequentate e note del Centro Italia. Derivante il suo nome dal latino Pesculum Serulae, che significa “roccia affiorante sul Sangro”, Pescasseroli è circondata dai Monti Marsicani, un massiccio che supera i 2000 metri di quota in oltre 50 vette.
