Markus Eder won the Courmayeur Swatch Freeride World Tour
With a spectacular descent through the rocks and snow of Tete d'Arp in Courmayeur, the twenty two years old Markus Eder of Brunico won this morning the only Italian stop of the Swatch Freeride World Tour by The North Face circuit. The most famous freeride skiers and snowboarders in the world take parts at this competition. Markus has overtaken the Swiss Jeremie Heitz and Swedish Reine Barkered.

From 24th to 29th January 2012 Courmayeur will host the Italian date of the Freeride World Tour by Swatch, an international competition that brings together the slopes of the most beautiful mountains in the world and the great champions of the Freeride. The Valdostan resort had already tasted the excitement of the event last year when for the lack of snow in Chamonix the event was moved to the peaks overlooking the Val Veny.
