Fischer Hybrid: change the skis with a click
by Federico Casnati

Fischer provides the details of one of the most interesting innovations presented by the German company at ISPO 2012: we are speaking about the new Hybrid model, which proposes an innovative system adapting to the ground and construction of a sandwich structure with rocker tip: all the ingredients for a modern ski that wants to conquer a significant share of the market for next season.
The slogan which Fischer introduces the new Hybrid range is "Change identity with a simple click." The new hybrid technology, Fischer is to assemble two opposite characteristics in the ski world: razor sharp on the track and curves for freeskiing ski in fresh snow.
The system is patented by Fischer and called Hybrid and just a click on structure allows the ski to "activate" the rocker present, thanks to some inserts that go to tend to the structure above it. This product is similar to others found in competing brands, some with a lot of luck (think Atomic) while others have fallen into oblivion soon (Mutix Rossignol and Volkl). The novelty, however, lies in the application of Fischer: skiing fact does not change the radius of curve (as D2 of the Atomic or Rossignol Mutix) but is transformed from a reactive to the track to soft and lightweight backcountry. Fischer engineers have found the square? We hope to test the model in question to know you for responding!
The transformation described above is made possible by the provision of a rocker which can be switched on and off if necessary thanks to the technology described here.
The construction of twin-tip and the double layer of titanal do the rest, to create optimal conditions of track and all types of snow, in the long corners or narrow ones.
range divides into two models, a more track-oriented and the other freeride-oriented: the look we like most is the sandwich construction which are made both models.

morning with a hard track, compact and well prepared? Put the ski structure "traditional" and you are under your feet a real racecarve to pull breathtaking curves. Afternoon track with loose, softer snow and legs a little 'tired? A click, a knife is put to "rocker" and skiing should be a pleasant toy (so the words of Fischer) to face the difficulties of the track with ease and confidence.
Sidecut 121/75 / 104, within 17mt (175 cm.). Lengths 161,168,175,182 cm available. P 8.0
The Hybrid variant a little 'more generous in the geometry (center of 85 mm) that gives a nod to the off-piste and deep snow, but surprisingly the responsiveness and accuracy and also especially on the track due to the inserts in wooden titanal and soul.
Sidecut 128/85/111, radius 18 (175 cm.). Lengths 161,168,175,182 cm available.
The equipment is completed with the corresponding line of boots Soma Hybrid System 12 Plus with HIKE / RIDE / LOCK and On / Off Piste Mode.
a shoe is extremely versatile due to the envelope with technology Fischer Hybrid. The Flex 120 is medium-high to allow high performance especially on the track. Also in this case, however, the versatility is the weapon of the boot, with the simple manual operations, it is possible to vary the trim track (locked), "off-tracks" (soft forward) and & ldquo ; hike "(free leg to walk comfortably).
Hybrid 12 Plus also has a 103mm plant and then winks at the convenience more than anything else and will be available in Vacuum technology, ie the possibility of thermoform the boot to fit 100% to the shape of your foot.
The boot can then adapt "tailored" to a sole of the foot 98 mm., as well as up to 108 mm.!
