Grass skiing arrives in Iran: Azzurri in the first race with the juniors, then with a key stage of the World Cup

Lo sci d'erba sbarca in Iran: azzurri in gara prima con gli junior, poi con una tappa chiave di Coppa del Mondo
In Dizin, appointment from Thursday 22nd to Tuesday 27th August for the first post-World Cup event.
The high-level grass skiing is once again the protagonist moving up to Iran, with a double program divided between the Junior Cup and the absolute World Cup. And there will be so many Italians on the hunt for the podium, after taking home four medals (two golds and two bronzes) from the World Championships in Marbachegg; we will start with three days dedicated to juniors, until Saturday, with four FIS races (giant, slalom, supergiant and super combined) to which, for the Italian national team of Fausto Cerentin, Filippo Zamboni and Nicolò Schiavetti will take part, respectively second and fourth in the category ranking with 551 and 471 points, behind the uncontested leader Martin Bartak with 1040 and the other Czech Filip Machu, third with 514 points. From Sunday 25 to Tuesday 27 August, it will be the turn of the World Cup with the penultimate round of the season: giant, slalom, supergiant and super-combined in the menu, with the bi-world champion Edoardo Frau (second overall with 450 points against 530 by Bartak), Lorenzo Gritti (leader in the slalom ranking with 200 points) and Antonella Manzoni (third in the women's general with 370 points behind Jacqueline Gerlach with 660 and Adela Kettnerova with 386) competing for the Italian team. "I arrive at this appointment with the serenity and satisfaction of a World Cup that gave me so much - the words of Frau about the two golds and the bronze won in Switzerland - After all I had prepared the season especially for those races and I managed to getting the most out of it, I'm facing this phase of my career as a challenge to myself and I don't watch opponents. Only in this way do I get the incentives to move forward ”. A true example, at 39 years old.
