The two fought Pursuit trials close the Kaubichi Summer Biathlon World Championships.
Martin Otcenas's gold medal comes as a surprise, only twenty-second in yesterday's sprint. The 32-year-old Slovak scores a 20/20 for the first time in his career and recovers position after lap. In the last part of the season he definitively detaches the Russian Eduard Latypov and the double Gold of this Timofey Lapshin review, both paying 5 errors to the shooting. On the finishing line, Otcenas scored 10 seconds ahead of Latypov and 15 seconds on the Slovenian Klemen Bauer (6 errors) who, author of a great race final, overtook the Lapshin sprint and the Bulgarian Krasimir Anev, fifth with three errors. In the women's field, while the Russian Glazyrina leaves the scene with 6 errors, the other winner of yesterday's Sprint, the Czech Lucie Charvatova throws a more than probable medal at the last polygon where she appears at the head of the race in the company of the Chinese Yan Zhang and Russian Voronina. The three errors in the opening of the Czech make her fall in the standings while Chinese and Russian pay only one penalty and find themselves dueling in the last lap; the last climb gives victory to Yan Zhang, who precedes Tamara Voronina at the finish line by 8 seconds. Third place for Vita Semerenko at 9 "5. In the Junior category, back-to-back victories come, after yesterday's Gold in the Sprint, for the Belarusian Dzmitry Lazouski and the Chinese Yuanmeng Chu.
