Ski Center Latemar: Pampeago, Predazzo, Obereggen
This side of the Val di Fiemme has 18 modern facilities connecting 50 km of ski runs served by a modern artificial snow system. The ski area has 18 modern lifts which can transport over 35,000 passengers per hour. The slopes are able to satisfy everyone from the most ambitious and daring to the less experienced.
The other ski area of Val di Fiemme are L 'Alpe CermisBellamonte - Alpe Lusia, Passo Rolle, Lavazè - Oclini.
Predazzo (1018 m.) is the most populated centre of the Fiemme Valley. It is a holiday destination in both summer and winter and is also an important economic hub between Fiemme, Fassa and Primiero.
There are numerous possibilities for recreation: by alpine skiing from Predazzo you can easily reach the ski areas of the Ski Centre Latemar, Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia and the nearby resort of Val di Fassa. For cross country skiers, Predazzo offers numerous routes with access to 100 km of pistes.
Well worth a visit is the Museum of Geology (the surrounding area of Predazzo is known as the geology Garden of the Alps) and the Stadium of Salto (location for the famous ski jump World Cups of 1991 and 2003).
At 1757 m. altitude, Pampeago is placed at the middle of the Ski Center Latemar at the foot of the famous mountain of coral, a kingdom of ancient legends (the famous dolls Latemar).
Surrounding the town we recommend a visit to Varena, one of the oldest villages in the valley, famous in the nineteenth century for healthy hay baths with herbs and fountains for typical monolithic porphyry.
Do not miss a visit to the street that leads to Tesero, where you can visit some of the homes of Fiemme Peterli House as an example of an old farmhouse with a gable roof.
Locatedat 1550 m. altitude, Obereggen is a small town in the Val d'Ega, at the foot of Latemar.
Integrated in the district of the Ski Center Latem, you can ski at night on the runway Oberholz, served by cable Ochsenweide with excellent lighting.
