Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, in the province of Modena, Monte Cimone soars up to 2165 m. above sea level and hosts the largest ski resort in the northern Apennines with 50 km of pistes.
At the foot of Monte Cimone are the resorts of Sestola, Fanano, Riolunato and Montecreto are the best starting point for the area.
The slopes accommodate all tastes stretching on the three sides of the mountain with challenging slopes of more than 600 meters difference in altitude. For children there is the new baby-park "Cimonelandia" in Lago della Ninfa. There's also a new snow park that has hosted national competitions, with permanent structures of half pipe, fun box and big air complete with all necessary facilities to accommodate the many riders.
Snowcannons cover over 50% of the slopes.
