Pale di San Martino is a lovely town in Trentino at 1450 m. altitude, renowned for the beauty of its mountains. The runs offer tourists a unique landscape and a good network of ski runs on two fronts. The area of Colverde has a cable car that takes you up to the foot of Rosetta, serving two tracks also illuminated at night. The top of Rosetta is not skiable, but it is accessible by cable car. On the other side, however, there is an area of 45 km of slopes of between 1404 and 2357 m., with access from the cable car Tognola, 1 km from the town or the chairlift Ces at the edge of the village. The third area is 8 km from the centre of San Martino, the Passo Rolle, accessible by ski bus. It has 15 km of snow-covered slopes which are situated perfectly between the 1900 and 2200 m. altitude.
Last week an agreement was signed between public and private for the re-launch of San Martino di Castrozza which provides for an investment of 13 million and 250 thousand euros of which a part will be used for the construction of the new gondola, the Colbricon Express, which will connect the ski area at Val Bona.
From the next winter season, in the Paganella ski area there will be a new plant: a 10-seat cable car that will depart from Pian del Dosson (intermediate station of the cable car that, from the center of Andalo, arrives at Doss Pelà ) and will reach La Selletta.
