A few kilometers from Trento, between the Brenta Dolomites, at an altitude between 1,000 and 2,100 meters, lies the alpine ski resort of Andalo and FaiMolvenoPaganella. The many lifts have an area of about 50 kilometers of slopes for alpine skiing suitable for both experienced skiers and beginners.Over 95% of the ski area is covered by snow-making facilities. Paganella is a historical ski area founded in the first decades of the 10th century.
Andalo, in Lago, offers the opportunity to practice cross-country skiing on a 3km circuit with artificial snow making machines and night lighting; another 5 km of trails are planned for Paganella. There are also several proposals for ski-mountaineering, climbing frozen waterfalls, walks with snowshoes and ice skating.
From the next winter season, in the Paganella ski area there will be a new plant: a 10-seat cable car that will depart from Pian del Dosson (intermediate station of the cable car that, from the center of Andalo, arrives at Doss PelÃ ) and will reach La Selletta.
On January 19 and February 9, 2019 the Paganella Skiarea hosts two special events for true fans. The lifts open earlier, especially for those who can grab a place. You get to the top, at 2,125m asl, at the perfect time to enjoy the first lights of dawn.
Hands up those of you who have ever had the luck of trying to beat the time of an alpine ski champion. If you have never competed against a real champion, then your chance has come. In Paganella, on February 2nd, anyone who wishes can try a short giant slalom race on the Olympic track 2 to try to do better than the undisputed champion of Alpine skiing Bode Miller! The former American skier will ski on the snows of Paganella during the Bomber Experience, the event presenting his Bomber Ski.
An intense week of competitions for the Paganella Skiarea that will host, in addition to the two female giant slalom races scheduled for Thursday 13 and Friday, December 14, also two men's giant slalom races on Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 December. Andalo and the Paganella were in fact chosen as locations for the recovery of the men's double giant of the European Cup initially planned in Val di Fassa.
