Macugnaga is a quiet mountain village at the foot of the majestic east face of Monte Rosa, the center of a green valley dotted with coniferous forests.  It rises to 1300 m. altitude in a beautiful valley and offers Tourism Organisation at the highest level. However over time the town has not always been able to support the growing investment that modern skiing requires. The street lighting system is in fact quite dated.

The main area reach the Passo del Moro (2868 m.), On the border with Switzerland. Two cable cars lead at high altitude where the facilities are open and favorites from the sun throughout the day. E 'available also an area dedicated to snowboarding and 3 restaurants and bars with spectacular views of the east face of Monte Rosa, the most' high in the Alps and its magnificent chain.

Further downstream, in the Burki Belvedere ski-area operating two chairlifts and one surface lift. Beautiful track that descends from the Belvedere (2000 m.) In Pecetto (1350 m.)

At the start of the chairlift, children and beginners can have a school camp with treadmills, while two of the Ski Schools organize dedicated courses and groups. There is the possibility to dine at Burki going up with the snowmobiles.
