Champorcher, in the valley, stands at an altitude of 1427 meters and is a picturesque village among high mountains, surrounded by meadows and forests of larch. The climate is typically alpine, and summer is very dry and temperate. In the center of the country there are the ruins of the castle, called the Chateau (now only the old tower remains) and the ancient church of San Nicola (XVIII sec.), which has a bell tower from 1548. From Chardonney, the lifts start to the beautiful ski area of Champorcher. Its ski area is suitable for skilled skiers, it has many sections on challenging 20Km of slopes before it. The resort is the destination of many who love cross country: here you can find many routes immersed in the unspoilt environments of the valley.
