Val Senales is the only part of the South Tyrolean ski area that has summer skiing.
With the construction of the cable car to the glacier and the development in the early seventies, the ski area open all year on the 'Hochjochferner'. Val Senales has become a popular tourist destination for skiers and hikers, and is the home for the training national teams in downhill skiing, skiing and biathlon.
There are 35 km of slopes in the whole area.
For cross-country skiers there are 15km of pistes, you can then use the 3.3 km sledge run with chair lift, while fans of snowboarding and freestyle have a half-pipe and other interesting locations available.
