Racines South Tyrol is a resort at about 980 m above sea level, between the Valley Racines, the Ridnauntal and Jaufental. The ski-Racines Jupiter is the largest of the three districts of the 'Alta Valle Isarco and offers 25 km of slopes between 1300 and 2100 m., with facilities among the most modern and decorated in South Tyrol.
Racines is a mecca for cross-country skiing and walks in the snow. The valley is very sunny and offers a spectacular view of the Stubai glacier and high peaks over 3000 m. Among the 40km of cross-country trails is the track Ridnaun, and one of the most picturesque Alpine circuits which runs seven kilometers immersed in Val di Lazzago.
For the die-hard romantic, some slopes are illuminated in Racines even at night, and for those who are not tired after a day of skiing, apres-ski in Racines offers interesting opportunities, including shops, pubs, restaurants, spa, nightclubs and hotels.
