Immersed in the splendid peaks of the Eastern Dolomites, Forni di Sopra is a young resort and is at 900 m. altitude, with the nearby passage of Maura is the ideal bridge between Carnia and Cadore. The skiing is divided into two zones, one dedicated to beginners, the Davost, with some lifts at a low altitude, and the other, the area of Varmost, for the advanced skiers. The total of 16 km of slopes and the 13km of cross-country skiing along the river Tagliamento, are fully insured by an artificial snow. Present also a Snow Park for children.
A few days after the agreement by Promotur of the construction of a new gondola in Forni di Sopra, it is also signed an agreement to transform ex hostel of Oda in the Mauria versant in a new facility with 400 beds. The project the realization of the link-Varmost Mauria is ongoing.
Alpine skiing, night mountainering and snowshoes: Lussarissimo in Tarvisio
The eighth edition of Lussarissimo, will be on stage Friday 22 and Saturday 23 March in Tarvisio. Two days of racing that will arrive with the race mountainering skiing at night, which this year will also be open to those who want to climb in altitude with snowshoes. Saturday morning will be up to the athletes of Parallel giant slalom, the world's longest, and on the evening of Saturday there is the spectacular sprint ski mountaineering.

In March the Sella Nevea ski school offers three unique events and to discover the freeride in nature. Aimed at those who already have a little ski off-piste experience, participation in events aims to increase knowledge and awareness of the freerider but will be also a unique experience for sleeping in an igloo made in the snow with his own hands.
Bovec-Kanin, the collapse of two gondolas jeopardizes the future of Sella Nevea?

Two cabins of the gondola that takes skiers from Bovec towards Sella Prevala and that makes it possible to connect with Sella Nevea, fell tumbling to the ground after that, probably because of the wind, the ropes have rolled off the pulleys that supported the cabins . Fortunately, the cabins were empty and there were no casualties.

The circuit will be completed in early 2012 in Sella Nevea April 29 with Adrenaline Freeride Canin because of the few snowfalls this season. The finalists are allowed athletes who achieved at least a useful result in the qualifying stages and the riders that the organizers have given wild cards available, for a total of 45 competitors. The prize money of 10,000 euros will be provided in the technical material.
Tarvisio will host the Alpine Ski "Trofeo Topolino" until 2014
Tarvisio to be host for the next three years the Trofeo Topolino alpine ski, an event born in 1957 and has been the launching pad for some of the greatest Italian nationals, such as Alberto Tomba, Marc Girardelli and Gustav Thoeni. From 2012 to 2014, the''Topolino'' will have a home in Friuli, after a thirty-year partnership with Trentino. In 2012 the national phase of the competition will be held on 27 and 28 February and from 1 to March 3 will go into the international scene.
Forni di Sopra, appointment with the Sky-Race Friulian Dolomites
The emotions of the Sky Race Friulian Dolomites are coming back. The World Heritage Committee has officially entered the Dolomites in the list of Universal Heritage of Humanity UNESCO. A decision on the nomination submitted by the Italian government was taken unanimously by the 21 members of the UNESCO committee, meeting in Seville.
