Arabba e Marmolada
The ski resort of Arabba, Marmolada, Ciapela Farms is ideally located on the border with Trentino Alto Adige, which gives it privileged access to the ski area Dolomiti Superski, the Sella Ronda and the lap of the Marmolada. From Arabba via a fast cable car you can get to a place with countless tracks, of all kinds of difficulties that take you back to the valley, or to step Pordoi, or to step Padon then descend to Ciapela Farms, located at the foot of the Marmolada glacier. From Cowshed climb by cable car to Punta Rocca (3,270 m.) and then ski the beautiful track "The Bellunese." With its 12 km it is one of the longest tracks in the Alps and can always be skied. On the other side the area extends to the Bec de Roces, to continue on until you reach the Campolongopass Pralongià. From here you can connect with all the Val Badia.
Arabba The white Arabba is located south-east of the Dolomites and is surrounded by the Sella massif, Mount Civetta and Marmolada. With 62 km of perfectly groomed slopes, fast and modern lifts and in the heart of the Dolomites Superski it is the starting point for the Sella Ronda, which connects the 4 main Dolomite passes. Among connoisseurs the area around Portavescovo is paticuarly appealing, the home mount Arabba 2500 meters high. Marmolada Glacier The Marmolada is the largest and best known glacier in the Dolomites, also known by the name of Queen of the Dolomites. This glacier has recently become part of the Dolomiti Superski and until a few years ago it was possible to do summer skiing. In addition to great views overlooking the surrounding mountain group, the Marmolada offers visitors a valuable and rich museum with relics and stories of the first World War, and the famous rock-hewn chapel where the relic to Punta Rocca Mary "Queen of the Dolomites" consecrated by His Holiness Pope Woityla.
Alm Ciapela is a small village at 1450 meters above sea level at the foot of the Marmolada. The runs are panoramic and skiing in winter on the glacier offers strong emotions and enchanting landscapes. You can climb to 3300 m. of Punta Rocca then drive along the historic trail that leads up to the country after 12 kilometers. The sunny slopes of Padon, pleasant and varied, are developed on a vertical drop of 900 meters, also the pass from Passo Fedaia, have a perfect school and allow the connection with the Sella Ronda Arabba. The surrounding environment, combined with the professionalism of the operators, make Ciapela Farms and the town of Rocca Pietore, an oasis for tourism.
