The ski resort of Arabba, Marmolada, Ciapela Farms is ideally located on the border with Trentino Alto Adige, which gives it privileged access to the ski area Dolomiti Superski, the Sella Ronda and the lap of the Marmolada.
From Arabba via a fast cable car you can get to a place with countless tracks, of all kinds of difficulties that take you back to the valley, or to step Pordoi, or to step Padon then descend to Ciapela Farms, located at the foot of the Marmolada glacier. From Cowshed climb by cable car to Punta Rocca (3,270 m.) and then ski the beautiful track "The Bellunese." With its 12 km it is one of the longest tracks in the Alps and can always be skied.
On the other side the area extends to the Bec de Roces, to continue on until you reach the Campolongopass Pralongià. From here you can connect with all the Val Badia.

Alleghe, 29 July 2009 - In all areas of the Dolomiti Stars lifts are opened in summer. This is the re-opening after the late spring pause at the conclusion of the brilliant 2009 season which saw the slopes of the Dolomites Stars bleached as never before by the white lady. A real boon for all the fans who were able to ski untill spring.

Unesco: the Dolomites become Universal Heritage of Humanity

The World Heritage Committee has officially entered the Dolomites in the list of Universal Heritage of Humanity UNESCO. A decision on the nomination submitted by the Italian government was taken unanimously by the 21 members of the UNESCO committee, meeting in Seville.

Pizolada on Dolomites 2009, ski competition in Val di Fassa

The Pizolada was born in 1973. It's one of the older touring-ski competition in the Alps. The way is between the Dolomites Area of Forca Rossa and the chain porphyry mountain of Bocche. The name of Pizolada was born to the ladin's name "se pizolar" that means "to slide sweetly on the soft snow by ski or sledge". For a long time this competition has represented the meeting between man (athletes or excursionist) and the wonderful winter's wear mountain.

Gli sci ai piedi e una vela: arriva il campione iridato Pacher.
Sabato atterra in Nevegal lo speedriding, un po' parapendio, un po' paracadutismo, una vela sopra la testa e gli sci ai piedi. A inaugurare la nuova pista riservata al neonato sport, ci sarà nientemeno che il due volte campione del mondo Jmmj Pacher.
